On Friday, Bruno Mars broke a four year silence and released his first new single in four years with "24k Magic." The funky, fun party starter put his name right back at the top of the conversation and also ushered in the next promotional cycle for his third artist album 24k Magic. Over the past year and a half, Mars hasn't talked much about the album, but a few details have emerged about who will be on the LP and what direction it is heading in.

1. Skrillex is involved in the production:

One of the biggest surprises on the entire album process was that Skrillex revealed he was involved in the record.

"I'm not going to give specifics of what it sounds like, but what we're doing is so f--king different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that's happened before," he said to Billboard back in June.

Skrillex's hands have been on many different pop hits recently from those with Justin Bieber, to his own as Jack Ü, to hip-hop crossovers with Rick Ross and A$AP Rocky, so the talent and versatility is there. These should be some of the most interesting tracks on the LP.

2. Andrew Wyatt Will Appear:

The Miike Snow singer told Loaded in January via NME that he'd been in the studio with Mars. He co-wrote "Grenade" with Mars, so there is a history of making big hits between the two of them.

3. Mars has been in studio with Missy Elliot, Charlie King & Others

He has been in the studio with legendary people like Charlie King, Missy Elliot and others. It isn't clear if anything came from those interactions. He wrote that got a chance to "sing and hang" with Charlie King in an Instagram post. Missy Elliot spoke more about a listening session than anything else.

4. The LP is going to have a new sound:

According to Jamareo Artis, bass player in Bruno Mars backup band The Hooligans spoke about how the new album is going to be different.

We've been working on it for about a year, trying different ideas and experimenting," he told Bass Player. "I don't know what's going to be included in the final version, but it's going to have a new sound, and so far the material is very groove-oriented."

5. The first single was "24k Magic" and the album will drop on Nov. 18.

The lead single was released on Friday, with an accompanying music video. The album is nine songs in total and available for pre-order now.
