RUFUS Du Sol has had their best year to date. The Australian trio released their acclaimed sophomore Bloom in January and has been touring the world ever since, performing at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Panorama, Outside Lands and Osheaga. The biggest single from the album has been "Innerbloom," the dramatic, euphoric and melodic nine-minute closing tune that is beloved by fans and their peers alike. The single has received an official remix package with reworks by the likes Lane 8, What So Not, Andhim, Tor and H.O.S.H.
All of the remixes, except for fellow Australian, What So Not, keep the track in the moodier electronic range. They take out some of the vocals and flip some of the melodies and hone in on the hypnotic rhythms. What So Not does what he does best with a more upbeat and emphatic remix that adds some punchier drums under the vocals and pitched up synths, while also switching the beat patterns.
The remixes come ahead of an upcoming North American tour for RUFUS Du Sol who have spent quite a bit of time in the United States and Canada in 2016. They will play venues in Boston, Toronto, New York City, Los Angeles, Denver and elsewhere. The tour kicks off on Oct. 29 and wraps up on Dec. 3 in San Diego.
