Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are gearing up to celebrate their 40th anniversary and are doing it big. The group has announced an expansive United States tour for 2017 over the spring and summer with support along the way at select stops by Chris Stapleton or Joe Walsh.

The tour will kick off in Oklahoma City on April 20. The tour will continue over the next three months throughout the United States at arenas, large outdoor venues and at a smattering of festivals. They will play in cities such as Indianapolis, Houston, Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis and Boston. The band will stop off for festival gigs at Summerfest and Mountain Jam.

The tour will end with two nights on July 26 and 27 at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York.

Additional West Coast dates will be announced soon. In addition to the tour, the band has released their entire studio collection in two vinyl box sets. It is split up into the era 1976-1991 and 1994-2014. Both sets are available on the group's website.
