The trailer for the next episode of “NCIS:Los Angeles” Season 9 has just been released. In the episode titled “Assets,” Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) are called upon to investigate when a woman is found dead in an indoor pool.

The woman is a Navy Lieutenant and an investigation into her past reveals that she was involved in a deadly conspiracy that might lead to a possible war. It appears that the dead Lieutenant may have been smuggling classified surveillance intel into Los Angeles and then sells them to a foreign buyer.

The NCIS team finds themselves in a dangerous situation when an unknown assailant shoots Sam with a machine gun reports Cartermatt. He was able to fend off the shooter by firing back. In the last part of the trailer for the “NCIS:Los Angeles” Season 9 promo, Sam says, "That could explain why she was killed.” Sam may figure out that other people besides the intended buyer wanted to get the intel for themselves and killed the Lieutenant for it.

Callen and Sam were also involved in a dangerous case in the last episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 9 reports Buddy TV. They raced against time trying to stop a bomb from detonating. The bomb was inside an ambulance being driven by an Islamic terrorist around Los Angeles. Fortunately, the partners were able to take control of the vehicle by knocking the terrorist down.

Sam had no time to deactivate the ticking time bomb. Callen drove the van into the water to depressurize the bomb mechanism in order to stop the bomb from exploding instead. Episode 2 of “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 9 appears to be as exciting as the season premiere, if not more. It will air on October 8, Sunday, at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
