Ciara was recently slammed on social media for her post about women getting married. The singer urged women to level up and not settle so that they can find a husband.

On Sunday, Ciara also shared a clip from John Gray's sermon where the pastor shared some tips on what women can do to find their husbands. The "1, 2 Step" singer only shared Gray's sermon about women but the pastor also talked about men and their life partners.

The fact that Ciara only posted half of the sermon did not sit well with her social media followers. Some of them claimed that the singer is suggesting that women who do not "level up" cannot find their partners.

Ciara Gets Criticized On Social Media

One critic accused Ciara of using her status as a married woman to belittle those who are not yet married. The same critic said that it seems the singer already tied her value and self-worth as a woman to her husband, Russell Wilson. Ciara and Wilson tied the knot on July 6, 2016.

However, some supporters of the singer also defended Ciara and said that she probably did not mean any harm by what she posted. One fan added that other women are curious how Ciara managed to make Wilson fall in love with her, but when she shared some tips, some of them got offended.

Another fan said that Ciara only wants other women to be a better version of themselves, and there is really nothing wrong with that. As of late, Ciara has not yet issued an apology to those she might have offended. The singer has not also taken down her recent social media post.

Ciara And Russell Wilson's Wedding

Ciara and Wilson tied the knot in King County, Washington, and they also threw a lavish wedding ceremony in Cheshire, England. The "I Bet" singer wore a Roberto Cavalli Couture wedding gown, which was designed by the brand's creative director, Peter Dundas. The wedding was attended by Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Hudson, LaLa Anthony and more.

Earlier this year, Ciara also made headlines after she revealed that she and her husband practiced abstinence before they got married. The singer was criticized for her decision because she is already a mom to her son, Future Zahir Wilburn.

"I really believe that when you focus on a friendship, you have the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a relationship... I have to give credit to my husband for sharing those views. It's awesome how it all worked out," said Ciara.
