Lonzo Ball announces that he will be releasing an album on Feb. 15. Born 2 Ball will feature the songs "BBB," "Lavar," "Super Saiyan," "Grind Mode," and more.

The professional basketball player also shared the cover art for Born 2 Ball. It features his photo as a baby with his dad LaVar Ball.

Born 2 Ball will serve as Lonzo's first album, but he is not the first basketball player to try his luck in the music industry. Damian Lillard and Victor Oladipo have already released their respective albums.

Fans of Lonzo expressed their excitement over the release of Born 2 Ball next week. One fan called the Los Angeles Lakers point guard the best rapper alive and another supporter called Lonzo a legend.

Lonzo Ball Talks About His Favorite Artists

Last year, Lonzo said that he has been rapping ever since he was a kid. Some of his favorite artists include 50 Cent and DMX. He also loves 21 Savage's album Issa, and he prefers it over Jay-Z's 4:44.

"I like 4:44. It's a good album. Jay-Z's a great, great artist. You know, his work speaks for itself, but if it's my opinion, you know, in today's world, I feel like 21 Savage's album is bumping more. So I just play that right now," said Lonzo.

Given the chance, Lonzo said that he is also open to working with 21 Savage, however, the opportunity has not yet arrived. If no collaboration will be set in motion, Lonzo wants to at least sing 21 Savage's song "Bank Account."

"I'm gonna talk it over with my people. They got all my stuff on lock right now. So when they let me release [music], I'll definitely put something out," said Lonzo.

Lonzo Ball's Basketball Career

At present, Lonzo is unable to play for the Lakers because of his sprained ankle. Speculations suggest that the release of his album is very timely. Since he cannot play in court, he can reach out to his fans through his 17 songs.

Magic Johnson, the president of basketball operations, recently talked about Lonzo and Isaiah Thomas teaming up together for the Los Angeles Lakers. Thomas' contract is about to expire and he is still recovering from his hip surgery.

"I think there's going to be points in the game where they have heavy minutes playing together. Isaiah is probably more of a natural scorer. His bread and butter is to score. Those guys can play together. Anyone that's painting it as an either-or, doesn't really understand the game," said Johnson.
