Amanda Brown did not always dream of a career in the music industry. Following ground breaking performances, it's hard to believe that The Voice Season 3 favorite, and first contestant in The Voice history to be traded was once going to pursue a career in marketing and business before discovering her calling her freshman year in college.

She was eliminated just shy of making the top five slot, as fans may recall Amanda starting out the season on CeeLo Green's team and being stolen by Adam Levine midway in the game. However, the experience Amanda had on NBC's The Voice ignited the beginning of what she hopes to become an explosive career of world tours and the performance of a lifetime at Madison Square Garden.

Amanda performed her first ever live online concert Aug. 4 with stageit.com. The rising star performed new music for the first time ever for fans from all over the world, which fell in love with her soulful renditions of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals "Stars", and Aerosmith's "Dream On" on The Voice.

"It's always nerve-racking when you know people are going to hear something new that you've been working on. You don't know what the response will be, so initially, you feel butterflies in your stomach," Amanda said of her stageit.com concert. Amanda performed three new songs, which could easily serve as singles on her forthcoming debut album.

While Amanda does not have an album release date yet, she admitted, "I'm working very hard to finish this music and have it out to everyone as soon as possible." Since being sent home from The Voice in 2012, ending in sixth place, Amanda has toured Europe, performed with her idol Stevie Wonder, and wrote a Season 4 blog for Parade Magazine.

Although Amanda's "Stars" and "Dream On" topped the iTunes charts, there is nothing like performing your own music and Amanda Brown is ready for the world to get a taste of her songwriting skills. "I've been blessed enough to work with a talented musician and songwriter, Greg Tannen," Amanda said, "I'm proud of the work we're doing together."
