The Swedish House Mafia surprised everyone when the EDM group reunited to close the epic 20th-anniversary celebration of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

On Sunday, March 25, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello went onstage and played some of their most recognizable tracks to date. They started their set with "Miami 2 Ibiza," "How Do You Feel Right Now," "We Come, We Rave, We Love," and "Greyhound."

This is the trio's first performance together since they ended their "One Last Tour" at the same music festival back in 2013.

Expect The Unexpected

The Ultra Music Festival 2018, which kicked off on Friday, March 23, featured some of the hottest acts in the EDM community. Attendees saw live performances from Steve Aoki, Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Kaskade, and more. Performers from other genres include The Chainsmokers, Azealia Banks, Joyryde, and G-Eazy.

For months, organizers of the event have been teasing a special guest, who was not revealed until Sunday. Their logo has also been spotted in Miami weeks before the music festival.

"The Swedish House Mafia is back," reported DJ Mag Germany (translated by Your EDM). "According to information from our DJ Mag Germany team on-site from the closest circle of the Swedish House Mafia, the three return on Sunday — and play a 60-minute set at the Ultra Music Festival in Bayfront Park in Miami."

The fashion brand Palm Angels has also been pushing Swedish House Mafia clothing with "03.25.18." prior to the Sunday show. On his Instagram, Ingrosso posted a snap of his Palm Angels design, which confirmed the group's reunion at Ultra.

"I am Axwell, I am Sebastian Ingrosso, and I am Steve Angelo," the group said at Ultra to begin their set, "and, Miami, tonight we go by Swedish House Mafia."

When asked why the group decided to reunite, they simply said, "It is time."

Swedish House Mafia Back For Good?

After the EDM trio disbanded, Axwell and Ingrosso formed a duo called Axwell /\ Ingrosso. Meanwhile, Angello continued producing music and touring alone.

Unfortunately, the group has not confirmed whether they are back for good, but it seems like the Ultra performance was a one-off thing.

In a previous interview, Axwell stated that he is open to the possibility of reuniting with Ingrosso and Angello.

"I think we're all in our happy places right now. Having said that it would be stupid of me to say never [to a reunion]," he said. "Maybe one day something will happen inside of us that says 'boom'. But it's more [likely to be] coming from us than at a festival."
