El-P of Run The Jewels has shared the original demo he submitted to be used as the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed movie Blade Runner 2049.

El-P And 'Blade Runner 2049'

Last year, the rapper was asked to contribute to the sci-fi movie which starred Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. His work was rejected by the producers, but he said that he has no hard feelings.

"its what i put together for the blade runner 2 trailer when they called on me," he said on SoundCloud. "i was honored to even be thought of. almost every sound apart from percussion was created on the same type of synth vangelis used for the original blade runner score."

It definitely was an honor to be asked to create music for the movie. Blade Runner 2049 was one of the most anticipated movies of 2017.

Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer, who also scored a slew of amazing works cinematic masterpieces such as The Dark Knight and Interstellar, also contributed to the movie's soundtrack.

El-P added that the track was unmixed and he only had two days to put it together, but the track was still a pretty solid effort that would have been perfect for the movie.

The rapper first previewed the track on his Instagram back in September. Listen to the track below.

Killer Mike And The NRA

Meanwhile, the other half of Run The Jewels, Killer Mike, had to answer the backlash surrounding his recent interview with the NRA. The rapper accused anti-gun advocates who were involved in last weekend's March For Our Lives protests in Washington of being "lackey."

"I told my kids on the school walkout: 'I love you — if you walk out that school, walk out my house,'" he said in the six-minute video. "We are a gun owning family."

The interview, which was posted in time for the national protest, immediately received backlash. Killer Mike had to issue a response and an apology, saying that he had no idea it will be released in conjunction with the protest.

"March For Our Lives" was organized by the survivors of the Feb. 14 Parkland school shooting. The event was supported by dozens of celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Amal and George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, and Taylor Swift.

Meanwhile, El-P distanced himself from the issue and said that he supports the protest against gun violence and mass shootings. He clarified in a statement that while they are bandmates, he and Killer Mike are two separate individuals.
