Lizzo recently dropped her new song "Fitness." The track is all about body positivity, self-love, and the power of all body types.

Following the release of "Fitness," Lizzo shared a statement regarding her track. She said that "Fitness" is her Declaration of Independence.

"It's a celebration of movement, highlighting the power in all body types. The women in this video are my team and closest collaborators including the brilliant director Quinn Wilson. I hope to inspire women all over to put themselves first. And the next time someone has a critique about your or your body, say, 'I don't do this for you,'" said Lizzo.

The music video for "Fitness," which is more than two minutes long, opens with five women wearing an all-black ensemble. They have stern looks on their faces. Lizzo sings the lines to her song, while the five women move to the beat. Twenty-eight seconds into the music video and Lizzo is shown sitting on a bench.

This is not the first time that Lizzo tackled major issues in her songs. "Truth Hurts" centered on a woman ditching marriage so she can party harder. Last year, Lizzo's track, "Water Me," also promoted positive body image.

Other than the music video for "Fitness," Lizzo also made headlines recently after it was announced that she will be going on tour with HAIM. The series of shows were organized to support HAIM's Something to Tell You album.

The Sister Sister Sister tour will kick off at the Schnitzer Hall in Portland, Oregon on April 3. Some of the scheduled shows for the tour include WaMu Theater in Seattle, Washington on April 4, Greek Theater in Berkeley, California on April 6, Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California on April 7, and The Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 13.
