Kelly Clarkson has just dropped the official music video for "I Don't Think About You." The song is featured in her Meaning of Life album.

The over three-minute clip opens with Clarkson standing inside a big room by herself. The next scene shows a young girl having breakfast with her parents. Instead of enjoying the moment, the girl's parents are fighting, and she is obviously stressed out.

While Clarkson sings lines to her song, another scene shows a young couple fighting inside the car. At the workplace, a woman feels the tension as her producers discuss details about her album.

Toward the end of the music video, the spirits of all the people who were in distress at the beginning of the clip join Clarkson onstage. They line up behind her, and they enter her body one by one.

Kelly Clarkson Talks About 'I Don't Think About You'

Prior to the release of the music video, Clarkson already explained the meaning behind her new song. She said that it is about a person realizing that no one else has power over her.

"We all have people and/or situations in life that mold us and sometimes those situations can feel like they're about to break us, but this song is about that morning you wake up and you don't even think about it anymore. It holds no power, no weight in your world, and consumes your thoughts no longer. It's a song about freedom, honestly," said Clarkson.

Kelly Clarkson's Professional Journey

"I Don't Think About You" is a follow up to Clarkson's first single, "Love So Soft," off of Meaning of Life. The album is Clarkson's first project with Atlantic Records.

The other albums she released with RCA Records are My December, All I Ever Wanted, Stronger, Wrapped in Red, and Piece By Piece.

In 2016, Clarkson signed with Atlantic Records, and she released Meaning of Life a year later.
