Nicki Minaj is the queen of rap and the dance floor in a new teaser for the music video of her hit single "Chun Li."

The track, which was released two weeks ago, is the 35-year-old's first solo work since her 2014 album The Pinkprint.

Dance-Off

In the teaser video published on YouTube on Thursday, April 26, Minaj, sporting her Street Fighter-inspired hair buns, go head-to-head with dancer Aliya Janell.

Both wearing leather bodysuits and thigh-high boots, the two females have a dance-off in front of the camera. A purple light bathes the entire scene.

The rapper promoted the track through a short video on Instagram where she talks to a woman who can be assumed as her stylist while she gets her makeup done. She asks for a patent leather coat that she could wear over her patent leather outfit.

While her leather bodysuit looks sexy, fans can expect a similar but "fly" new look from the hip-hop star in the actual music video.

Minaj also previously released a vertical video for the track that was shot using a phone camera. The video came out earlier this month.

The award-winning artist has yet to reveal the exact date that the music video for her hit track will be released online. However, "Chun Li," which has nothing to do with the popular video game character, does not need a viral video to move up the charts.

Chart-Topper

"Chun Li," according to Billboard, shot from the 92nd spot of the Billboard Hot 100 to number 10 this week. It marks her first solo Top 10 track since her viral "Anaconda" took the second spot of the songs chart in 2014.

The track also marks Minaj's 16th Hot 100 Top 10. She still holds the record for the most among female rappers, ahead of Missy Elliott who has nine.

'Saturday Night Live' Appearance

Minaj is also headed to New York City next month to perform on Saturday Night Live on May 19. The rapper has been teasing the gig after it was announced and fans were promised that new songs from her still-unannounced new album will be debuted at the comedy series.

However, this no longer seems to be the case.

In a response to a fan on Twitter, she said that no new songs will be performed at her guest appearance. She did not reveal any reason why the plans had been changed but only said she simply changed her mind.
