Andre 3000 pays tribute to all the moms across the world with his two new songs. The rapper released "Me & My (To Bury Your Parents" and "Look Ma No Hands" on Sunday, May 13.
"Me & My (To Bury Your Parents)" features Andre 3000's vocals. The 17-minute "Look Ma No Hands," on the other hand, is his instrumental jazz collaboration with James Blake. On both songs, Andre 3000 showed off his clarinet skills.
The rapper recorded the first track "Me & My" three years ago. He wrote it before his parents passed away. Sharon Benjamin-Hodo died one day after her birthday five years ago. Andre 3000 recorded "Look Ma No Hands" late last year.
Andre 3000 Remembers His Late Mom
On his Instagram account, Andre 3000 also greeted his mom even though she is no longer with him.
"Happy Mother's Day. I'm sure all the cards, dinners, flowers, and last minute gifts are appreciated but I've learned the best gift a parent could get is to simply know their child is ok," wrote the rapper.
Andre 3000 shared one of the last conversations he had with his mom before she passed away.
Andre 3000 Opens His Soul To Fans
Meanwhile, prior to the release of his two songs, Andre 3000 has been teasing his fans with new music. However, he has not released any in a couple of years. The National Public Radio said that "Me & My" and "Look Ma No Hands" serve more as a window to the rapper's soul more than a sign that he will be releasing more tracks this year.
Writer Rodney Carmichael also expressed his gratitude to Andre 3000 for releasing his new song and for inviting the world to share in his most intimate "mourning glory."

His real name is Andre Benjamin, and he is best known as one-half of the hip-hop duo Outkast alongside Big Boi. Andre 3000 has also been seen on television numerous times.
