Smashing Pumpkins have talked about their reunion on The Howard Stern Show. Band members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin were all present during the interview.

When asked what's it like working with each other again after all these years, Corgan said that it has been nothing short of awesome. The frontman also shared one instance wherein he was looking at James while at the studio, and they both could not believe that they are making music together again.

"I always said we never really disagreed about music. There were cultural differences and differences of opinion, but as far as the music goes we've always had common ground... If you spend that much time with somebody there's gonna be bumps in the road. But as far as the music went, we always had a commonality, a common vision, which really was kind of the saving grace of all of our careers," said Chamberlin.

Billy Corgan Explains His Side

During the same interview, Corgan discussed his ongoing feud with former Smashing Pumpkins members D'Arcy Wretzky. The musician said that he reached out to Wretzky years ago and things seemed to be going well between them.

Corgan revealed that every time he would mention touring and performing on stage with Wretzky, she just brushed off the idea. Corgan also tried to ask Wretzky to commit to their reunion tour, but she was unable to do so.

At the end of the day, Corgan decided to not ask Wretzky to return to Smashing Pumpkins. However, he said that it is for her own sake. Corgan explained that he did not want Wretzky to fail or make a fool of herself when she performs with their bandmates on stage.

D'Arcy Wretzky Claims Billy Corgan Has Brain Tumor

Earlier this year, Wretzky claimed that Corgan never invited her to join them on tour. The former bassist of Smashing Pumpkins also said that Corgan has a brain tumor. During his interview on The Howard Stern Show, Corgan said that there is no truth to Wretzky's claims.

"Yeah, that would fall under one of the 400 libelous and defamatory things she said that has no bearing in reality," said Corgan.

The Smashing Pumpkins is an American alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois that was formed by Corgan and Iha in 1988. Since then, the band has already released nine studio albums.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Siamese Dream, Gish, Adore, and Zeitgeist are just some of them.
