Paramore goes retro in the electric music video for "Caught in the Middle," a track from their 2017 album After Laughter.

Paramore Is 'Caught In The Middle'

Directed by the Computer Team, the 80s inspired music video sees vocalist and lyricist Hayley Williams and the rest of the alternative rock band in a universe made up entirely from old-school clip art images.

The music video continues the retro vibe established by the band's previous release, "Rose-Colored Boy." It was also directed by Computer Team.

"Caught in the Middle" is the fifth single from the album After Laughter. They also previously released music videos for "Fake Happy," "Told You So," and "Hard Times."

After Laughter, the band's follow-up to their 2013 self-titled album, was released in May 2017. It peaked at the sixth spot of Billboard 200 in June last year, becoming their third album to enter the Top 10 of the chart.

Paramore Announces Art + Friends Music Festival

This week, Paramore also announced an upcoming music festival that will take place in their hometown of Nashville. The Art + Friends Festival will feature fellow artists from Nashville such as Bully, Liza Ann, COIN, Nightingail, and Canon Blue.

"We want to celebrate our hometown and the fast growing, wacky and wonderful alternative music and arts community of Nashville," Williams said in a statement posted on Facebook. "We (Paramore) are gonna play a big rock gig, along with some of our friends — it's a solid lineup of all Nashville based artists. Plus, there will be tons of local art to see and experience, local independent business owners showing off their wares, and some local food & bevs."

The first iteration of the festival will be held on Sept. 7 at the Municipal Auditorium. Tickets to the event will be on sale starting Friday, June 29, via Ticketmaster.

Paramore is currently on tour across North America to promote After Laughter. Foster the People joined the massive 25-date trek that kicked off this summer in Florida.

The band is still scheduled to perform in venues in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Los Angeles, Texas, California, and more cities in the next couple of weeks.
