Popstar P!nk disclosed that she was positive for the coronavirus two weeks ago, but has now fully recovered. She now donates $1M to help in the fight against COVID-19.

According to P!nk's Instagram account, she and her son Jameson were showing symptoms of COVID-19. They visited their family physician for a test, and hers came out positive for the coronavirus. They did as the doctor suggested, "sheltering at home." A few days later, they were again tested and finally came out negative, P!nk clarifies.

The 40-year-old singer called the pandemic "an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing accessible." She also stressed that the disease is severe and real, and all are affected.

In Los Angeles, where she and her family live, health officials expressed disappointment over the limited capacity of testing facilities. According to Barbara Ferrer, Public Health Director of L.A. County, the goal is to have 10,000 residents tested daily, but only around 20,000 residents have been tested.

P!nk donated a million dollars to support the efforts of the health workers who are in the front lines in combatting the pandemic.

P!nk says on Instagram, "I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center. Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund."

She then adds, "THANK YOU to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones. You are our heroes! These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home."
