The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant changes in the landscape of everyday life. The music industry is one of the unlikely victims. Shows, concerts, and major tours are postponed or canceled to support social distancing in averting the spread of the coronavirus. Album releases are not far behind.  Billboard listed major albums that will be delayed in launching.

Alanis Morisette

Alanis Morisette announced on April 16 on Facebook her album, "Such Pretty Forks in the Road," will be released at a later date. It was set for May 1 launch. She is due to release a new single "Diagnosis" on April 24. No new date has been advised yet.

Alicia Keys

"Alicia," the singer's seventh studio album will be postponed, according to her IG/Twitter post on March 19. She had not updated when it will be released.

Bon Jovi

Last week on "Howard Stern Show" at SiriusXM, Jon Bon Jovi revealed the band's album release would be delayed. It was set to be out on May 15. Meanwhile, Bon Jovi is set to put out soon his new song "Do What You Can," a collaborative work with his fans.  

Cub Sport

Australian indie alt-pop band Cub Sport's "Like Nirvana" launch date was moved to July 24. The fourth studio album's original release date was on May 8.

Haim

Pop-rock band Haim postponed the "Women in Music Pt. III" album release from April 24. The new date is still to be advised. The band assured fans that new tunes would be dropped.

Kehlani

The contemporary R&B singer was due to release her sophomore album. However, Kehlani confirmed that plans cannot be completed and cannot move forward due to the pandemic. She decided to shelve the project.

Lady Gaga

The upcoming sixth album "Chromatica" of Lady Gaga was set for release on April 10, as posted on her social media accounts. The singer thought it was not the right moment to drop fresh tracks amid the crisis gripping the entire world. There is no announcement yet on the probable release timeline.

Lamb of God

The heavy metal rock band, Lamb of God, was due to launch its self-titled album in mid-May. However, circumstances are beyond their control brought by the COVID-19. The group decided to move for a June 19 release.  

Luke Bryan

April 24 was the release date of "Born Here, Live Here, Die Here." It is the seventh studio album for the country singer-songwriter, Luke Bryan. Instead, fans will get a hold of it on August 7. Bryan is currently one of the judges in American Idol.

Margo Price

Country singer-songwriter Margo Price's third studio album will now be released on July 10. May 8 was the original launch date for "That's How Rumors Get Started."  

Prince

Vinyl reissues of Prince's 2001 album "The Rainbow Children" and 2002 album "One Nite Alone..." have been moved to May 29 from April 18.  

Sam Smith

The upcoming third album from the Grammy winner, "To Die For" was due to be out on May 1. Besides the change of date, a new title will be used as Smith said: "it doesn't feel right." No updated details have been issued yet when the album will be released.

The 1975

The British pop-rock band has twice postponed the release of their fourth album. "Notes on a Conditional Form" will finally have its debut on May 22. Originally set on February 21, it was moved first to April 24.
