Country singer David Nail performs onstage during the 2014 CMT Music Awards Rehearsals Day 1 at Bridgestone Arena on June 2, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee.
David Nail had a busy summer, visiting nearly 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada. He'll be taking a short break (and in this case, short equals less than two weeks) and then he's going back out on the I'm A Fire fall tour. With Show Dog-Universal Music country duo Native Run opening for him, he'll be kicking things off on September 11, 2014 in Oxford, Mississippi. Twenty plus stops later, he'll wrap things up in Green Bay, Wisconsin on November 15th.

Even though Nail is a headliner in his own right, he still enjoys opening up for other bands. This year, he's opened for Darius Rucker as well as Lady Antebellum. Headlining his own tour certainly gives him more time to play. He told Rolling Stone Country, "It's so much fun to open up for big acts and know that there's going to be 5, 10, or even 15,000 people out there when you play, but it's always difficult to only play for 35 minutes. I've always felt like we benefit so much more when we can really lay back and play an entire 75 to 90 minute show. We can show the range of the past three records."
