Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant has given his kids permission to release his unreleased materials when he dies.

The pandemic has made the rockstar productive as the extended lockdowns allowed him to archive unreleased materials that he has been working on over the years. He was candidly sharing this and other updates of his life with co-host Matt Everitt on the latest episode of his podcast, Digging Deep.

During the podcast, audiences can hear the iconic musician recalling his adventures and the unfinished projects that come along with them. He shared that he 'itemized' those projects in an orderly manner.

"I've told the kids when I kick the bucket, open it to the public free of charge - just to see how many silly things there were down the line from 1966 to now. It's a journey," Robert Plant said while speaking during his podcast.

Speaking of items in his archives, the 72-year old singer revealed that he came across an old letter that his mom gave her that may have changed his decision to lead a career in music.

"[I] found a letter from my mum that said: 'Look, you've been a very naughty boy, why don't you come back, because Sue wants to know where you've gone. And also, the accountancy job is still open in Stourport-on-Severn. Why don't you just come back home, and we'll just pretend all this stuff didn't happen?'" he shared.

Robert Plant's Children

Robert Plant has three kids with the spouse, Maureen Wilson. They are Carmen Jane Plant, Karac Pendragon Plant, Logan Romero Plant. He had another son, Jesse Lee Plant, with Shirley Wilson (his ex-wife's sister.)

Sources considered Carmen as rock 'rock n roll's luckiest daughter being the first child and only daughter of the rocker. Robert dedicated a line to his child, Carmen Plant in the Led Zeppelin song, 'The Ocean' and inserted audio clips of her giggle in the background of 'Bron-Yr-Aur,' a 1970 song that he wrote with Jimmy Page.

Carmen also appeared in Led Zeppelin's 'The Song Remains the Same' video in 1976. She married Led Zeppelin's bass player, Charlie Jones, and has three children who live within their family home at Bath, Somerset.

Logan Romero also leads a career in music, being the former lead vocalist for the Black Country Bandits and the Sons of Albion. Robert Plant lost his son, Karac Pendragon Plant, to a stomach virus in 1977.

During a 1976 interview, Robert shared his thoughts of being a father and a rockstar who is often touring.

"Carmen used to think she had two fathers-the one whose singing she heard through the speakers and the one on whose knee she was sitting. They (Carmen and Karac) love it when I come back to tell them tales," he said.

In a separate interview in 2007, the musician expressed regret that he spent lots of time during the '70s and not being there for his kids while they are growing up.

"What I recall for the first two years is my daughter not really knowing who I was and getting rather agitated when I came back off tour, as she thought I'd come to rob the house," he shared.
