Things are sailing smooth between the well-loved fashionable couple Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. During the Tribeca Film Festival 2021 that was held this weekend, A$AP mentioned how much Rihanna has been a great support system for her during the making of his new documentary "Stockholm Syndrome."

'Stockholm Syndrome' To Feature Rocky's Arrest in Sweden

As reported by Cosmopolitan, the rapper's new impactful documentary is a narration of an event that happened in his own life. Back in 2019 summer, Rocky was charged with assault and was thereby arrested in Stockholm Sweden. This is after he and his crew faced a violent altercation with two other men, whom the artist claims had followed them.

In the documentary, he shares the moments he'd spent in the Swedish jail. The documentary was directed by The Architects, a filmmaking collective. 

The film showcases the musician's meteoric rise before falling into a detour of darkness. It combines film, animation, contemporary interviews, as well as live concert footage. Stars like kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Tyler the Creator, and A$AP Ferg who are known to be supporters of #FreeRocky, an advocacy created when the artist was arrested.

With the support that he's gotten from his peers and girlfriend, Rocky faces the world now more transparent. He also moves on to talk about his documentary as a sign of his authenticity. 

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, he says, "I think making a documentary is all about vulnerability," he mentions, as he says his film is all about a no-off-limits-documentary.

"The documentary is all about showing honesty, authenticity, purity.", he adds.

Rihanna Plays a Huge Role in Rocky's Comeback After Arrest

The event wasn't an easy feat for the singer. It was a rather difficult path that he had to go through both for his personal life and for his career. However, his girlfriend Rihanna makes things a lot easier for the artist with her full emotional support along the way.

 Rocky says, "It's important having that support in real life, you know? It's amazing and I'm honestly truly blessed, for real."

He mentions how Rihanna is indeed a blessing in her life, being his support system all along despite the unfortunate events that had unfolded in his life. This is his second interview following one where he mentions Rihanna is the "Love of his life."

"It's so much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She's the One.", he adds.

The documentary is based on the singer's experience from getting in Jail to being the face of the #FreeRocky movement. Other high-profile personalities such as Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Donald Trump are known to support Rocky's release. Eventually, the artist ended up leaving the Swedish custody back in August 2019.
