The line-up for the very first Modern Sky Festival in New York City has been announced through the festival's website. Headliners include Cat Power, Liars, Stars, the Both (Aimee Mann and Ted Leo), and the Blood Brothers, who have reunited this year after splitting up back in 2007.

Some of the festival's other acts include a special tribute to Nigerian funk musician William Onyeabor featuring as of yet unannounced special guests, as well as a number of rock and electronic artists from China to fill out the rest of the line-up. The festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5 at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park.

The Modern Sky Festival was founded by Beijing-based company Modern Sky Entertainment in 2007 and has gone on to become China's largest music festival. This year, the festival is making its first-ever appearance in the United States. Single and two day passes are now available for purchase through the festival's website at $48 and $85, respectively. VIP passes are also available for purchase at $150.
