After her new album Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse failed to make waves, it seems as though notorious diva and pop superstar Mariah Carey has parted ways with her manager Jermaine Dupri.

According to reports from Billboard Magazine (via Popdust), Carey is now working with former Def Jam president Kevin Liles (Jay Z, Ludacris) instead of her longtime musical partner in crime, but that doesn't mean the two will never collaborate again.

"I'm a very hands-on person when it comes to my work. I put my all into every project. But when I'm not allowed to do what I do, then I know it's time for me to move on," Durpi said in a statement. "Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future."

PopDust notes that this is the third major shakeup in Carey's camp in recent years, hinting at the massive turmoil in her career. Carey dumping Durpi is just the latest in a series of major career missteps... She was previously managed by Randy Jackson before trading him for Dupri and has recently had everything from a tension-filled judging stint on American Idol with Nicki Minaj to multiple album delays, failed singles ("The Art Of Letting Go") and shaky album rollout details (the scraped "surprise" release plan).

After roughly two years of delays, Carey's 14th studio album Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteusewas released on May 23, with singles "#Beautiful," "The Art Of Letting Go," "You're Mine (Eternal)" and "You Don't Know What To Do." The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with a paltry 58,000 copies sold.
