Nicki Minaj borrows from Sir-Mix-A-Lot's ubiquitous "Baby Got Back" on her latest single, "Anaconda" with the repeating line "my anaconda don't want none unless you got buns, hun," among other lines. "Baby Got Back" first dominated the radio and charts back in 1992 as a celebration of big booties.

Mix-A-Lot spoke with MTV about Minaj's updated version of is No. 1 hit. He said he was in constant contact with the Young Money femcee during the song's creation.

"[Nicki] called [while she was] in the studio," said Mix-A-Lot, who still hasn't met Minaj. "I don't really know Nicki Minaj, but I can tell you this: Lazy, she is not. That girl works hard. I was blown away by her work ethic. She would hit us up, she'd be in the studio vibing, coming up with different ideas, making sure those ideas were cool. She'd call you back after a couple more hours."

Mix-A-Lot said he was involved behind-the-scenes and was impressed by the way Minaj handled the business side of things. However, he said he witnessed the roll out just like the rest of her fans, including her NSFW cover art.

Being a man who "likes big butts," he said he was mesmerized by Minaj's g-string-featuring cover art.

"Wooooh! When I saw the cover, I almost forgot about the song," he joked. "I looked at that for about an hour."

He was so impressed by her work on the song that he said he'd let her remake his "Baby Got Back" video if she wanted to.

"She can direct it, be in it, tell me who else to put in it," he told them. "Whatever she wants. That girl is incredible."

As AllHipHop points out, fellow YMCMB mate Lil Wayne sampled elements of "Baby Got Back" in his song "The Motto" and Eminem sampled it as well on "Just Lose It."
