Avril Lavigne is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her first album, "Let Go," and she shocked fans by sharing a touching tribute on her TikTok account.

According to E! Online, the "All I Wanted" songstress returned to the same place in New York City where she shot the album cover of her debut album 20 years ago.

In the short clip, the singer donned an all-black outfit and walked into the crosswalk. She then posed while crossing her arms, similar to her album cover.

The video was inspired by a viral trend where users added the song "I'm Just a Kid" by Simple Plan. The footage then transitioned to the photo from her album.

She captioned the post with, "20 years later..."

As of this writing, the video amassed 2.5 million likes and thousands of comments from fans.

Followers then took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the clip.

"What the hell do you mean when you say 20 years later!?!?" one fan wrote.

Other fans also poked fun at the viral theory that a clone replaced the original Lavigne.

"Who is this? That's not Avril Lavigne," another wrote.

The recent post comes a month after she spoke about her debut album in an interview with The Guardian, saying she was 17 years old at the time and she wanted to create music while getting out of high school.

"I want loud guitars, I want live drums ... I want to write about the crazy stuff, the insane emotions, the good and the bad," she said.

The "I'm With You" hitmaker also revealed that she didn't want to be the traditional pop star, so she channeled her own style by being "angsty" to sound like a band.

"I didn't want to be all bubblegum pop. I wanted to turn my emotions into lyrics. I was honestly just very, very pure," she added.

Avril Lavigne released her new album "Love Sux" earlier this year under Travis Barker's record label DTA Records.

The album marked her return to her pop-punk roots after the release of "Head Above Water" in 2019.

The singer collaborated with famous punk singers like Machine Gun Kelly, Mark Hoppus from Blink-182, and blackbear.

She revealed in a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, the singer said the album was inspired by Green Day, and she made the record as a love letter to women.
