The long wait is finally over! Lady Gaga had just performed at the first show of her highly-anticipated Chromatica Ball that will tour around different venues around the world in the coming weeks. The big question is; what was the inspiration behind her stage design?

Throughout her career, Mother Monster is known for being intricate with the details of everything that she releases to the public as she wanted to be involved with production as much as possible.

Her stage isn't an exception as she revealed the meaning behind the visuals that her fans would see in her coming shows.

Taking to her Instagram live hours before performing at her first show since 2018, the "Sour Candy" hitmaker said the stage was inspired by "brutalist architecture, materials, textures, crudity, transparency."

As seen in the photos circulating online, Chromatica Ball's stage features a bare concrete design, which appears to be an abandoned building.

Speaking about the meaning behind the architecture, Gaga added, that it's "a real savage and hard look at yourself, and what you've been through." (via Lady Gaga Now)

As pointed out by a fan, brutalist architecture is a style that emerged during the post-war era and it's supposed to show "vulnerability & finding beauty in rawness after enduring truama."

Chromatica Ball Continues to Trend on Twitter

Lady Gaga has been dominating Twitter over the past few days as many fans are excited to see her perform again as well as new visuals and outfits for the concert.

Fans who attended the show at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, have been sharing videos and photos of the event on the platform.

After years of not including the song "Monster" on her setlist from her previous tours, Gaga has finally performed the song again with its original choreography and fans couldn't contain their excitement over the track's comeback.

"she knew exactly what she was doing and i'm so thankful!!!!!!!" one wrote.

Gaga opened her show with three classic hits from her catalog "Bad Romance," "Just Dance," and "Poker Face," contrary to what fans expected that she would be performing "Chromatica I" and "Alice" first.

The Academy Award-winning singer's next show will be at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 21.

Lady Gaga will then visit different cities around the world like Paris, Arnhem, London, Toronto, Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, Tokyo, and more, before wrapping up at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, on September 17.
