]Yo Gotti issued a comment on his Twitter account in response to claims that the Memphis Police Department prevented a potential mass shooting at his concert.

In a series of tweets, the rap veteran praised his fans and musicians for the success of his eighth Birthday Bash. In addition, he commended the MPD for their efforts to ensure concertgoers' safe return home.

Things could have gotten out of hand and so much worse for the concertgoers without the efforts of the authorities.

Gotti tweeted, "Thank you to the fans, artists and everyone involved behind the scenes for making Birthday Bash a smooth, secure and successful event," Gotti tweeted. "We were informed of a potential threat regarding an individual seeking to harm attendees leaving Birthday Bash that occurred 3 hours after our show ended. I would also like to thank the Memphis Police Department for their swift and proactive action in ensuring that all attendees returned home safely."

According to a story from Fox13Memphis.com, police arrested and charged a guy with terrorism early Saturday morning (16 July). This occurred after the MPD responded to a call about an armed mental patient. Officers were approached by the suspect, Elijah Hyman, and his girlfriend when they arrived on the site.

Apparently, Hyman was upset because he and his girlfriend had ended their relationship.

According to the news source, since Hyman and his girlfriend's relationship was ending, the suspect wanted to murder himself and everyone he saw leaving the venue (July 15). Police also said that Hyman's right hand was bleeding after being sliced on a glass pane inside his flat.

Authorities recovered other guns during a subsequent search of Hyman's flat. Hyman was apprehended, held in custody, and transported to the hospital for evaluation and medical care. Additionally, Hyman was charged with Terrorism Act Commission.
