Corey Taylor's son Griffin Taylor appeared to have followed his father's footsteps while growing up, but little did fans know that the young rocker didn't have plans to pursue music until a significant thing happened to him.

According to Loudwire, Griffin is unsure of his music career before he formed the band Vended.

Speaking about his childhood, he noted that he's not sure if he wanted to pursue music when he was a kid even though people are asking him if he's going to be a musician just like his father.

He then revealed that he initially wanted to be a florist, a police officer, and a video game designer.

The young rocker isn't giving up on his dreams as he still wanted to pursue at least two of the ambitions mentioned above.

Griffin Taylor, Simon Crahan Recognizes Their Privilege

He is not the only member of the band who has an iconic musician father as his bandmate Simon Crahan is the son of Slipknot's Shawn "Clown" Crahan.

In an interview with Kerrang! The two young artists acknowledged their privilege of having fathers working in the music industry as it gave them many opportunities of performing in front of a crowd.

Per the outlet, the band has played several sets with Slipknot and Jinjer throughout Europe.

"Yeah, we got more help than other bands do and I'm honest about that, I'm not going to say we didn't because that's not fair to who our fathers are," Simon said.

Despite getting help from their dads, the drummer clarified that they never wrote any of their songs, never showed them how to play instruments, and never taught them to play onstage.

"They've never done any of that. When people say, 'Oh, Griffin's dad's probably showing him how to scream how he does,' Griff is learning on his f****** own," he added.

Griffin Taylor on Slipknot Comparisons

During the early days of his career, Griffin said he became emotional after fans compared his band to Slipknot, but he was able to overcome it today.

He toured with his father and the band across Europe last summer and he noted that it made him focus on being himself without paying attention to other people's comments.

Griffin said he just accepted it because if not, he won't get anywhere, and it will give him a different overview of his career in the coming years.
