Scott Kelly was under fire over the past few weeks after allegations of abuse started circulating online. Recently, the vocalist came clean and admitted to his wrongdoings as well as announced his retirement from the music industry.

According to Loudwire, the musician has admitted to having abused his wife and children emotionally, physically, verbally, and financially.

Taking to his official Facebook account, the singer began his post by saying he needed to address "some rumors" and set the record straight for himself.

Kelly noted that he used threats, manipulation, threats of harm, and suicide to hide the truth from the public, but it's taking a toll on him and he doesn't want to lie anymore because he loves his wife.

He noted that his partner is the best person he knows as she's "intensely honest."

"This letter is massive simplification of the irreparable damage I have caused and the unforgivable things that I've done to her and our kids," he penned.

The musician then admitted that his wife attempted to leave him, he "stalked and harassed" her all the time and the situation caused her and their youngest child to "live in a constant state of fear."

As the truth about his disappearance started to come out, his wife has been receiving "damaging rumors" about her and she doesn't deserve any of that.

Scott Kelly Believes Living a Public Life as a Musician Was 'The Worst Decision'

Further into his Facebook post, Kelly noted that living a public life as a musician and vocalist of Neurosis was "the worst decision" he ever made as he tried to hide behind the attention.

He also admitted to using his "social position" to indirectly manipulate his fans to hide the abuse of his family.

Now that he finally revealed the truth to the world, Kelly said he's "100% permanently" retiring from his work as a professional musician.

He noted that some people could be in the same position as him and they could carry on with their careers with no accountability, but his situation is different.

Today, the vocalist said his number one priority is his family for them to have a "safe space" and heal as well as rebuild their trust.
