Bad news for those who purchased Mad Cool Sunset Festival tickets! Organizers for the event announced that the famed music festival will no longer take place in September; whose fault was it?

Taking to their official Instagram account, the event revealed that the music event is canceled after Rage Against The Machine pulled out from their initial lineup.

They noted that the band's postponement had already disappointed many fans, but they had to cancel the show as many people bought tickets to see their main headliner.

MCSF added that they're already working to settle things with RATM to have them "back as soon as possible" and enjoy them performing on their stage.

The decision came after a thorough evaluation of all the options they have.

"From the organization, we will continue working so that Mad Cool Sunset can be carried out in 2013 and finally turns out to be the best way to end the summer," they concluded.

Mad Cool Sunset Festival's Deal: How to Refund, Exchange Tickets

Along with their post, organizers gave fans two options regarding the cancellation. They could either refund their tickets or exchange them for another festival.

They noted that they're giving concertgoers the chance to trade their MCSF tickets for a three-day pass for Andalucía Big Festival in Malaga.

Why Did Rage Against The Machine Cancel Their Performance, European and UK Tour Dates?

In early reports, Zack de la Rocha injured his leg while performing at their tour in Chicago last month.

The band confirmed that the frontman was advised to not continue performing at their shows due to "medical guidance."

Aside from their European and United Kingdom tour dates, they also canceled a few festival appearances like the Mad Cool Sunset and Reading & Leeds.

In a statement, they said they're disappointed to announce the cancellation, but de la Rocha must rest and recover from his injury.

"We are sorry to all of our fans who have waited years to see us, and hope to Rage again soon," they concluded.
