10 years after the release of "Kiss," Carly Rae Jepsen is still thriving in the pop industry as she released numerous hit albums following that and her songs will remain iconic in the pop culture book. For the record's anniversary, the singer reveals the story behind her first pop album ever.

Taking to her official Instagram account, the Canadian singer celebrated the anniversary of her pop album by sharing a story on why she couldn't leave Los Angeles, California.

She noted that she came to the city ten years ago to perform at an event and then "accidentally moved" there forever.

"It was meant to be a weekend trip but I'd call home every few weeks to say 'send more clothe,'" she added.

The "Gimme Love" hitmaker then revealed she wrote and created the album "Kiss" during her first few months in LA.

Some of the songs included in the album are "Curiosity," "Good Time" with Owl City, "Hurt So Good," and her biggest hit "Call Me Maybe."

In the post, the former "Canadian Idol" contestant also revealed that a limited-edition 10th anniversary special vinyl of her album "Kiss" is also available.

According to her official website, the records come in two choices, an opaque white and black colored vinyl. Both records feature the original album art and tracklist.

The limited-edition vinyl records are priced at $30.

Carly Rae Jepsen is gearing up for the release of her highly-anticipated album "The Lonliest Time." She previously spoke to Rolling Stone to discuss her newest era.

Speaking about how the album came to fruition, the Canadian star said she struggled during quarantine as she's been used to touring nonstop and recording in different places.

She also lost a loved one during the pandemic which caused "a lot of contemplation."

"Like, 'Where am I? What decisions have I made to get here? Am I happy?' Many of those hard questions you have to face one way or another," she added.

At the time, she managed to work on her fifth album, a record that combines her true-to-life emotions with upbeat energy.

So far, Jepsen has released one single from the album titled "Beach House." The full record will be released on October 21, the same day Taylor Swift drops her 10th studio album "Midnights."
