Throughout the years, many fans have mistaken other important people for their namesake, especially if they are in the same industry or in almost the same niche. In this case, it would seem like "Pitch Perfect's" Adam Devine is taking some of the fans' heat originally intended for Maroon 5 vocalist, Adam Levine.
The two have shared strikingly similar screen names, which are also their formal names - Adam Noah Levine and Adam Patrick Devine.
Earlier this week, Adam Levine's promiscuous online behavior has been exposed by Instagram model, Summer Stroh - taking over entertainment news headlines and even launching an online campaign to #ExposeAdamLevine.
While everyone seemed to be talking about it on social media, Adam Devine, with the comedian that he is, cracked a rather timely joke on Instagram

"Just want to post this and say that my wife @chloebridges and I are doing great and going strong. I am not Adam Levine. He's a different guy and a worse singer. We are however naming our future baby Sumner," he posted on his account.
Devine's post has already garnered more than 300,000 likes and laughing comments from various celebrities on his comment section.
"Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Oh god I know you've been waiting for this day to come," Comedy Central comedienne Whitney Cummings commented.
"I've heard you sing Creed at karaoke bar in Japan, and I'm here to confirm, yes you are better," Adam Ray told Devine in the comments.

Adam Levine, Behati Prinsloo Cheating Scandal Explained
Last Monday, 25-year-old Instagram influencer Summer Stroh claimed in a now-trending TikTok video that he and Adam Levine had an affair. (via Esquire)
In the video, Stroh revealed that his affair with Levine lasted for a year, as she was easily manipulated and the singer gave her the impression that her marriage with Behati Prinsloo was already over.
Bizarrely, Adam also asked Summer Stroh permission on naming his unborn child Summer. After the first revelation, other women have also come forward and confessed that they have also experienced receiving similar flirtatious comments from the married singer.
As of yesterday, there had been five women who have come forward to expose the Maroon 5 vocalist.
