ASAP Rocky was the second-day headliner of the Rolling Loud New York Festival last Saturday, and while the rapper's performance is one of the most-anticipated of the evening, fans were dismayed because of a couple of things.

Not only did Rocky arrive late for his performance, but he also did not make up for the lost time he wasted and ended earlier than the expected duration of his actual set.

ASAP Rocky Rolling Loud Performance: Late Arrival, Moshpits, Ending Early?

According to NME, A$AP Rocky apologized to his fans after arriving late and cutting his Rolling Loud New York performance last Saturday.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Rocky told his fans that Saturday's performance was supposed to be a turning point in his upcoming shows in the coming months.

"I am so hurt right now! Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows from the old to new! I will take full responsibility for the circumstances of what led to last nights show being everything it was and everything it wasn't. I also want to acknowledge that even tho I prepared the best show for my fans, detail for detail , over the course of MONTHS... I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition and Im hurt about that and I want to apologize to all of my fans and continued supporters, and thank y'all for showing up for me regardless!!" he said in a statement.

On videos circulating on social media, many claimed that it was Rolling Loud New York organizers who decided to cancel A$AP Rocky's performance, and not him.

However, as of this writing, the rapper nor the organizers have revealed the real reason for the interruption is.

Some fans pointed out that A$AP Rocky arrived 45-minutes late into his scheduled performance and his performance was stopped 15 minutes after, performing only around nine songs only.

But aside from his rather short performance, what took over social media in the past few days was A$AP Rocky's crowd surfing gone wrong.

Fans are laughing after the "Fashion Killa" rapper dived into the moshpit but immediately asked for help after being trampled on and squeezed by festivalgoers.

Meanwhile, her girlfriend Rihanna was also spotted at the venue although it was not clear if the mother of his new child was the reason for the delay.
