Meghan Trainor has been making waves on social media because of the recent rollout of her newest album, "Takin' It Back." She has coincided with the release of "Midnights" by Taylor Swift and Carly Rae Jepsen's "The Loneliest Times."
But despite the three of them releasing all at the same time, Trainor has managed to still penetrate the trends as one of her hilarious videos has been trending on TikTok and on Twitter for the past few days already.
As the "Made You Look" hitmaker signed albums at Barnes & Nobles earlier this week for a fan meet-and-greet, she was approached by one of her fans, who captured the one-of-a-kind moment in a TikTok video.
Megan was asked if she could greet the fans' cousins, as "they couldn't make it" at the album signing. Like the jolly person that she is, Megan agreed to address them name by name.
"It's Jennie, Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo," the fan said.
Trainor, who seemed to have believed that the four names that she was said to greet was just some normal combination of names, proceeded to do so: "Is it on?"
"Jennie, Lisa, Rosé and ... Joo-soo?" she said. "Ji-soo," the fan corrected.
"Hi! Thanks for not coming, but it's OK. I love you anyways! Yay!" Megan greeted as if they were actually the cousins of the fans.
It was only when the video trended on TikTok and got more than a million views as of this writing that it finally dawned on the singer who the "cousins" actually were.

Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Ji-Soo were the names of the four members of BLACKPINK, one of the biggest girl groups in South Korea and even in the world right now.
The then-oblivious Megan Trainor found herself commenting on the TikTok video: "IM SO JET LAGGED HAHAHAHA HOW COULD U DO THIS TO MEEEE. Love u anyways"
Fans of both BLACKPINK and Megan Trainor flocked into the comments, all laughing at the hilarious encounter.
"I love you Jennie lisa rosé and jisoo you are our favorite cousins," a fan commented.
"And the next singles: Blackpink ft. Meghan Trainor - Thanks But It's Okay," a user suggested.
Meanwhile, Megan Trainor's "Takin It' Back" is poised to debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart somewhere at the Top 10, along with Taylor Swift's "Midnights," and Carly Rae Jepsen's "The Loneliest Time."
