For fans who have been streaming Paramore's 2013 self-titled album recently, many of you may have noticed that the album cover has changed; was it replaced because of former bassist Jeremy Davis' exit?

According to People Magazine, the album previously featured three band members including Hayley Williams, Taylor York, and Davis, standing in front of a black background as they're covered in colored powder.

The updated cover art now features Hayley Williams' back while wearing a denim jacket with the words "Grow Up" written in white paint.

As of this writing, Paramore has not issued a statement regarding their big change, but many fans speculated that the latest move could possibly be due to their desire to distance themselves from their former bassist.

After more than 10 years of playing for the band, Davis left his bandmates in 2015. He parted ways with his pals in a not-so-good manner as he later sued the group for breach of contract and fraud.

Paramore vs Jeremy Davis Lawsuit

According to The Tennessean, the musician claimed in his suit that he was a part of Hayley Williams' Varoom Whoa as a partner. The legal entity is responsible for Paramore's business functions.

In addition, the former bassist alleged that he was not compensated fairly for his work for the band.

The music group later argued that their ex-member was an employee rather than a partner in its revenue streams like merchandise, sales, and more.

Davis ultimately departed from the group in December 2015, and he claimed that Williams had been "backstabbing" him.

He also initially claimed that he was one of the people behind the band's decision-making in hiring several employees that would work under their tours and music projects like advisers, stage crew managers, musicians, and more.

The bassist claimed he was entitled to receive more money for his contribution. Both parties have reportedly settled the legal dispute in federal court, but the terms behind it were not publicly discussed.

Paramore's lawyer, Jay Bowen, issued a statement at the time, saying, "Everything has been resolved and settled."

Today, current members include Hayley Williams, Taylor York, and Zac Farro. Their next album titled "This is Why," the follow-up to their 2017 record "After Laughter," is scheduled for release on February 10, 2023.
