Many fans rejoiced after their favorite artists have been nominated for the 2023 Grammy Awards, but there have been several online users who took to social media to express their disappointment as the recording academy snubbed their beloved idols.

More recently, Kid Cudi, whose fans projected that he'll be getting a nod from the coveted award-giving body for his work on "Entergalactic," expressed his true feelings after not being nominated for next year.

His eighth studio album was a success as it debuted at number 13 on the Billboard 200 charts last month. The record featured 15 songs and a handful of star-studded collaborations with Steve Aoki, Ty Dolla Sign, Dot da Genious, Don Toliver, and 2 Chainz. (via Complex)

Despite getting positive feedback from critics and receiving numerous amounts of streams on major music platforms, the album nor one of his songs was able to get a nomination for the 65th Grammy Awards.

Some of his fans were disappointed by the snub, but Kid Cudi appeared to be in good hopes as he believes that his music will be recognized by the recording academy in the near future.

"I see people upset that I didn't get a nom but its ok y'all. The acting world will be kinder to me. Im already winning awards for Entergalactic and when Emmy season comes around, we'll see what time it is."

In addition, the rapper knows to himself that his album was beautiful as he gave all his efforts into creating it. He also credited his work for Netflix, the animated series titled "Entergalactic," saying it "changes the game."

Kid Cudi Retiring From the Music Industry?

In a previous interview with Apple Music Beats 1's Zane Lowe ahead of the release of "Entergalactic," the 38-year-old rapper said he wanted to do other things outside music, saying he wanted to put his Kid Cudi persona "on the back burner and chill out with that."

After the release of his latest album, the musician said he was ready to close the chapter for his work in music.

The reason why he wanted to retire from the music industry is that he wanted to focus on other things like acting and spending time with his family, especially his daughter because he has a "super tight" relationship with her.

He also wanted to write for TV shows and movies.
