Kodak Black took to Instagram to complain about how his song "Super Gremlin" did not win at the 2022 American Music Awards.

The rapper shared a screenshot of a tweet from AMA Statistics from Nov. 8, and it showed that "Super Gremlin" at number one with over 147K votes, followed by "In. Baby" by Lil Nas X with over 137k votes, and Future and Drake's "WFU" with over 87k votes.

Black noted that there was a big gap between his song and Future and Drake's "WFU," which was named this year's AMA Favorite Hip Hop Song.

Clearly, Black was constantly checking on the statistics, because he captioned the post with: "My shit been in the lead for 'bout [two] months, all of a sudden they give my s**t away today!

"SMH, I just knew I won," he wrote.

Snubbed Again

According to reports, it is widely unknown why Black did not receive the award when he was leading by a wide margin; and as of this writing, the Twitter account in Black's screenshot no longer exists.

The rapper's confusion and disappointment were echoed by his fans, as well as fellow rapper Meek Mills, who commented on Black's Instagram post: "It's fully controlled."

A fan commented, "they don't wanna see you winnin'."

"Stop supporting these shows. The [black artists] need to stop going. That's period," another wrote.

However, this is not Black's first time being snubbed by an award show. In October of this year, he also questioned the BET Hip Hop Awards for snubbing the same song in favor of "Big Energy" by Latto.

He expressed his frustrations on Instagram, and called for a boycott. "BET watered down! Y'all so lame and out of touch! Y'all definitely not a creditable show!"

While Black was seemingly the only one who disliked the outcome of the BET Hip Hop Awards, he was not the only one who called AMAs out this year.

This is but one of the controversies that marred this year's AMAs. Hours before Chris Brown was set to perform a tribute to Michael Jackson, he was taken out of the lineup, and his performance was canceled altogether.

The R&B singer was completely devastated and disappointed. Several fans and fellow artists expressed their frustrations with the AMA organizers.
