You read it right, Pink borrowed her dress from none other than the iconic fashion designer Bob Mackie and equally iconic artist Cher. According to Page Six, Mackie and Cher worked together in the past, and he is the genius behind several of her iconic looks throughout her career.

Pink gushed about the relevance of the piece, "I'm wearing Bob Mackie. This is from Cher's closet. I asked her if I could borrow some Bob Mackie tonight,

"I am honoring a legend... In the spirit of that, I should honor other legends as well, and that's Cher and Bob Mackie," she said.

Honoring Legends

Pink strutted the red carpet not by her lonesome. She was accompanied by her family-her husband Carey Hart, and children, Willow and Jameson. According to reports, the gorgeous black and gold dress is an original Bob Mackie creation from his 1987 collection. Cher owned the dress, plucked it right out of her own closet, and lent it to the singer. Mackie complimented Pink's fashionista look by posting on Instagram, saying: ""This is the perfect dress for Pink as a performer and for the AMAs red carpet tonight!"

The singer paid tribute to the late singer Olivia Newton-John. "She was an absolute icon, and also, she was a wonderful human being. I loved her voice," Pink told Entertainment Tonight. "My daughter just got done doing 'Grease' in her theatre production, and she actually helped me learn the song." Pink donned on another Mackie stylized wardrobe when she did a tribute for Newton-John.
