The Bad Boy duo, Diddy and King Combs, just made history. The parent-child duo is the first-ever pair to top the Billboard charts simultaneously.

King Combs just earned his first chart-topping single with "Can't Stop Won't Stop" featuring Kodak Black, under Billboard's US Urban Radio chart.

Meanwhile, Diddy's "Gotta Move On" with Bryson Tiller climbed the Adult R&B Airplay chart, peaking at number one.

This basically means, they are both sitting comfortably at number one on the Billboard charts, reports say.

Earlier this week, Combs opened up about his music-making process, and how Diddy has the ultimate last say on whether his song will be released or not.

"You know, he is definitely the ultimate stamp of approval. If he be like "for sure that's a hit", then we got one. You know, he don't play about that," Combs shared.

That is why no wonder "Can't Stop Won't Stop" is such a hit, Diddy definitely knows what he's doing, after all these years in the industry, coming out with several chart-topping hits after another.

On the other hand, Diddy had nothing but good things to say about his son's success in the music industry.

"Seeing me and my son Christian climb the charts together is a dream come true and I'm so proud of all the hard work to reach #1, but this win is much bigger than music," said Diddy.

"This milestone is about carrying on the legacy of our family and showing the world that 30 years from now, we'll still be on top."

No one was happier to see Combs atop the Billboard charts than his very own father.

The music mogul shared the exciting news on Instagram, "we went number one baby!"

Followed by another Instagram story that professed his pride, "you're only number one if you're number one on Billboard. Yeah. Take that!"

He also shared a video of him "breaking" the news to Combs who was peacefully sleeping in a gigantic bed in their backyard. He captioned the post with "Dreams do come true! Love!"

Combs has always been vocal that he is grateful for the support his father has shown him and his interest in music. He cited Diddy as his very own role model not just as his father but also as an artist.

"'I definitely have the utmost respect for my father and all the pioneers of hip hop," Combs said. "You know, my pops is the GOAT, and they paved the way for us to be here and to be able to have a platform. I knew this was going to be hard, but I didn't know how hard. But we here, so let's get it."

While Combs is still forging his way through the industry, his father is considered one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.

Diddy has received several awards and accolades for his work in the genre, including BET lifetime achievement award, and billboard music award for top rap song, among others.
