A few years ago, The Weeknd and SZA were rumored to release the remix version of the former's song "Die for You." However, to fans' dismay, the collaboration was reportedly scrapped. It's not too late for the duo to drop the song and it appears that their project will see the light of day anytime soon.

It all began when a fan asked the "Broken Clocks" hitmaker a question on Instagram about the long-rumored collab, saying they don't like rumors so they want the R&B star to clarify it.

SZA then confirmed that the remix is indeed true, saying, "Lmao it's super old but it does exist. I should re record it." (via Billboard)

The singer deleted her comment but eagle-eyed fans were able to take a screenshot of the story and later reposted it on Twitter.

It later caught the attention of The Weeknd, quote-retweeting the post with the caption "yes please."

As of this writing, neither the two of them confirmed whether they'll officially release the scrapped collaboration or not.

SZA New Album Finally Dropping This December

In an interview with the outlet, the "Good Days" songstress finally confirmed that her highly-anticipated sophomore album titled "S.O.S.," the follow-up to her 2017 record "Ctrl," will be released next month.

SZA has yet to reveal the official tracklist and collaborators on her upcoming album, but she's been hinting another single with Doja Cat again after their Grammy Award-winning hit song "Kiss Me More."

The record-breaking collaboration not only won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo Performance, but it also got a Guinness Book of World Records title.

The R&B star has already released the lead single "Shirt" and it's unclear when she's dropping her next song titled "PSA" but she released its official teaser online.

SZA also did not reveal whether her song "i hate u" will be a part of her upcoming album.

Elsewhere in the interview, the singer opened up about feeling pressured, saying it's not because of the album, but about life in general.

"It's just, life is f****** hard. To be expected to do anything at a high level while life is life-ing is f****** crazy. This isn't meant for a person; it's meant for a machine," she said.
