Selena Gomez had been one of the busiest artists recently. From her starring role at "Only Murders in the Building," to producing her own documentary "My Mind and Me," Selena is on a roll and is nowhere near the idea of stopping soon.

After her recent appearances, Gomez stopped by "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" to reveal what she would be working next on her very busy schedule.

Earlier this year, coming along with her Apple TV documentary, Selena Gomez released her latest single, "My Mind and Me," the same title as her documentary. When asked by Fallon if there are more to come, Selena affirmed that there are actually.

But straying away from the melancholic music, it would seem like Gomez is heading toward a funkier and more upbeat sound.

"I'm so used to writing sad-girl songs," she revealed. But I'm ready to have some fun and I think people are going to like it."

It would seem like Gomez would make a comeback to happier and more dance beats like "Love You Like A Love Song," "Come And Get It," and "Hands To Myself," among many others.

The last time Gomez released her albums, was in 2020. Thanks to "Rare," Selena notched her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts, same with "Revival," and "Stars Dance."

However, the new music might not come anytime soon this early 2023, as Gomez would be busy filming the second season of the hit series "Only Murders In The Building" with Martin Short and Steve Martin. Season 3 of "Only Murders in the Building" will also include "Greys Anatomy" alum Jesse William in the mix. The show earned a total of 17 Emmy Award nominations earlier this year, taking home a three after the ceremony.

As for collaborations, Selena Gomez recently opened the door for a future Dua Lipa project. Speaking to Variety during the magazine's "Hitmakers Brunch," Selena said that she would love to work with Dua Lipa, who moments before expressed that she'd be down to work with the "Naturally" hitmaker.

"I would love that too. I think she was such a breath of fresh air. I love how she kinda came and made it to the scene for dance to come back in a good way. I think that's powerful, I think she's beautiful," Gomez told the magazine.
