Over the past 12 months, Mother Monster thrived in the world of beauty products with her brand Haus Labs, in the film by announcing her role as Harley Quinn in "Joker," and closing the "Chromatica" era with a world tour.
2023 is fast approaching and it appears that the new year will be bright for the Oscar Award-winning singer because of her line of projects; what is she up to next year?
Lady Gaga 2023: Filming Joker
A popular Lady Gaga fan account called ladygaganownet shared their interaction with director Todd Phillips after pictures of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker made rounds online.
The account asked to give fans a "sneak peek" of Lady Gaga's role as Harley Quinn, but the director confirmed that Mother Monster won't begin filming until after the New Year, meaning photos of the actress will not be released anytime soon.
"getting a lot of these messages in my DMs. And on here. Sorry to say that LG does not start with us until after the new year. So it's gonna be a bit. xTP," Phillips wrote. (via The Direct)
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, cinematographer Lawrence Sher shared his thoughts about the pop star getting cast for "Joker: Folie à Deux," which will reportedly be a musical.
Sher said the Grammy Award-winning singer, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, would be a "really cool fit" for the film and is expected to bring a "similar kind of magic" that Joaquin Phoenix brought.
"The combination of the two will be exactly what we hope, which is exciting, and we'll find magic every day on set," he added, before saying that he's hopeful for a little "madness" and "chaos" to fit their characters.
For fans who are excited to see the film, they have to wait until October 4, 2024, to see Lady Gaga's full transformation as Harleen Quinzel.

'ARTPOP Act II' Getting Released in 2023?
2023 is also a big year for Little Monsters as it would be the 10th anniversary of the pop star's 2013 album "ARTPOP."
Many fans have been waiting for the album's sequel as there are reportedly many songs from the era that is yet to be released. One of which is the leaked song "Brooklyn Nights."
Many have been theorizing that Act II would drop on the 10th anniversary, but the information has yet to be confirmed by Gaga's team.
In 2012, the musician thought of the possibility of splitting the album into two, the first release would contain "commercial songs" while the other one would have "experimental material" as she considers the album "a bit modern."
Last year, longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow teased fans about the possibility of releasing the second half, saying, "And if I could ever do anything for any of you, including making a second version of this album..."
