A new show is coming to Broadway, and two magnificent and beloved artists are staging their biggest comeback yet.

After portraying the anxiety-ridden Evan Hansen on "Dear Evan Hansen," Tony-winning Ben Platt is making a return on the Big Apple after months of touring, as he will be making a comeback on "Parade," the newest Broadway musical to come this year.

According to Deadline, Platt, along with "The Cher Show's" Michaela Diamond was cast on the revival production of "Parade" on Broadway.

However, per a tweet from the production, the show will only be a "limited engagement. It will begin on Feb. 21, 2023, at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, and will only last until Aug. 6, 2023. The expected "Parade" opening date was scheduled on Mar. 16, 2023.

Renowned stage director Michael Arden will be leading the show. In a recent statement, he shares his excitement with everyone on the big announcement.

"I am delighted that Alfred Uhry and Jason Robert Brown's musical will be seen by Broadway audiences again after our brief run last fall. Parade has been a seminal piece of theater for me as an artist since it premiered 25 years ago, and to be collaborating with this incredible group of producers, designers, and artists led by the brilliant Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond is truly a dream come true," he furthered.

Meanwhile, "Parade" producers are also elated with the upcoming show, noting how "overjoyed" they are on the addition of Platt and Diamon on the show.

"Jason Robert Brown's and Alfred Uhry's masterpiece, Parade, is one of the most beloved musicals of the past 25 years. Whenever you mention the show to a theater fan, they light up talking about the first time they saw a production or heard a recording," they said in a joint statememt.

Meanwhile, casting for the other characters of "Parade" has yet to be revealed in the upcoming months.

When it first opened its curtains in 1999, "Parade," earned nine Tony nominations, including Best Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for Brent Carver, and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for Carolee Carmello. At the end of the night, it took home two - Best Book of a Musical for Alfred Uhry and Best Original Score for Jason Robert Brown.
