Just before he celebrates his 53rd birthday, Dave Grohl is going to enter the world of comics, as the "Orbit" comic series name him the next protagonist of its latest installment.

Grohl has been around as a musician for decades already, and he has made quite a name for himself as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer.

Although he is now better known as the frontman of the rock band Foo Fighters, he used to be in Nirvana, playing the drum alongside Kurt Cobain.

His years-long experience in the industry is one that many will remember, and perhaps it really is time that his life and career be put on the pages for fans to read and love.

This new venture will surely add a few good bucks to his already-jaw-dropping net worth of $330 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

Comic Life

If there's a musician whose life should be turned into a comic book, it should be Grohl-after all, his life and career are one that writers and readers wouldn't want to miss out on.

"Diving into the genius of David Grohl can only be described with one word: awe," Adam Rose, the author of the upcoming comic, wrote about Grohl. "His life and body of work are an incredible story to explore!"

According to reports, aside from his massive success in music, the comic will also explore his humble beginnings as a child who leaned on music during his parents' divorce.

Grohl fans, who might know him as Nirvana's drummer before they got to know him as the Foo Fighter's frontman, are also in for a treat-a good part of the comic will be dedicated to his four-year stint in Nirvana.

Accompanying Rose is Martin Gimenez, who will illustrate the 22-page comic book that will be available both online and in print, and maybe even as an animated show.

Grohl's special in TidalWave's "Orbit" comic book series is one of many artists' and personalities' stories. Reports say "Orbit" explored the life and career of various personalities who left an impact on the world. The comic will be available on multiple platforms this week.

Grohl hails from Ohio and joined his first band when he was just 17, before moving on to work with Nirvana in 1990.

He can be heard playing the drums for Nirvana's highly successful and world-renown sophomore album, "Nevermind."
