Jane's Addiction Updates

In other updates, the band welcomed back their original bassist, Eric Avery, during their tour with the Smashing Pumpkins last year.

Unfortunately, Dave Navarro was not able to join his bandmates as he suffered lingering symptoms of COVID-19. He previously said in a statement that he was hoping to recover from the health condition by October to be able to perform, but he still felt fatigued at the time. (via Billboard)

In addition, the guitarist said he was "gutted" because Avery returned and the group wanted to give fans the original lineup.

On the other hand, frontman, Perry Farrell, told the Alternative Press that he was pressured at the time when Navarro had to cancel his appearance days before their first show.

"Jane's is a unique band, and you can't just grab any guitar player and they'll pick it up. That's Dave Navarro we're talking about - those are big shoes to fill," he said.

Fortunately for them, they were able to find a guitarist and settled down with Troy Van Leeuwen from Queens of the Stone Age.
