Sadie Sink was involved in two of the biggest moments in music in 2021 and 2022.

She was popularly known for portraying the emotional Max Mayfield on Netflix's hit series "Stranger Things." In its biggest and probably the most iconic scenes of the show, Sink's character Max shocked everyone with her incredible performance on the show, which was aided by Kate Bush's classic song "Running Up That Hill."

Thanks to Netflix, the song experienced a massive resurgence on the charts and in pop culture, introducing an entirely new generation to the genius that is Kate Bush.

But aside from that, Sink has also portrayed a young and fictional Taylor Swift in "All Too Well," The Short Film opposite Dylan O'Brien.

Now, she has received critical acclaim as she starred in "The Whale" with Brendan Fraser. In an interview with "The Late Night With Seth Meyers," Sink gushed about the unexpected friendship she shared with Taylor Swift.

"I was a fan of hers before. Her team reached out and I guess she had me in mind for this video. I said, 'Yes, of course.'" Sink revealed to Meyers.

Shocked by the offer, Sink immediately agreed to take on the role. Elaborating more on the experience, she said the collaboration was like "two different worlds" blended into one.

"It was kind of a bizarre mashup, but everyone was very excited," she described. "You would never think that our paths would really cross, someone being in the music industry and then in the film industry."

Sink was widely praised for her portrayal of Swift. The video has earned Swift three VMAs, Video of the Year, Best Longform Video, and Best Direction. It also won Best Video and Best Longform Video at the MTV Europe Music Awards and Favorite Music Video at the American Music Awards. It is also nominated at the Grammy Awards for Best Music Video.

In another interview with Meyers back in 2021, Swift revealed the reason why she particularly chose Sink and O'Brien for the roles.

"The only two people I imagined playing the two characters, it was Sadie and Dylan," she told Meyers. "If Sadie had said no, I don't think I would have made it, I don't think I would have made the film. I think I would've just been like, this is a sign."
