Ever since Lisa Marie Presley was laid to rest in Graceland, conversations on who will inherit the Elvis Presley estate have been up for discussion.

According to Lisa's will, it was her children Riley and Benjamin Keough who would be taking over the legacy. However, Priscilla, Lisa's mother and Riley's grandmother, has since contested the actual will that puts responsibility over them.

According to BBC, Priscilla is questioning Lisa's will, which was updated to have ousted her and their business manager as the trustees of the Graceland estate.

Court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight say that Lisa amended the will in 2016, effectively lynching Priscilla and Barry Siegel, changing them to Riley and Benjamin.

The outlet reports that Priscilla has since challenged the authenticity and validity of Lisa's will.

According to Priscilla, the said amendment was "purported" as the final will was not delivered to her, like what it was supposed to be, and her signature does not match the customary signatures she had back then.

Meanwhile, Joel Weinshanker, an Elvis Presley Enterprises Managing Partner and one of Lisa's spokespeople, told Sirius XM's Elvis Radio about Lisa Marie's dying wishes on who would inherit Graceland.

"That was always Riley and Ben. There was never a question in her mind that they would be the stewards, that they would look at it exactly the way she did. Obviously, when Ben passed, it really sat with Riley," he said.

Weinshanker also furthered that Lisa was "very very quite certain" that Riley would be the heiress to Graceland.

"But on Lisa's birthday, we just want to think about what Lisa would've wanted and that's what's best for Elvis. She never had a doubt in her mind that that's Riley," he furthered.

According to him, there was no question on Lisa's mind that Riley would inherit Graceland, as there were numerous amounts of written information, and she had talked to many of her friends about it.

A close friend of Lisa's also came forward to People Magazine to echo Weinshanker's thoughts, even noting that Lisa had no trust in Priscilla.

"Lisa's intent was very clear. Lisa really didn't feel that Priscilla was doing anything in her best interest," an anonymous friend of Lisa said.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of the late Elvis Presley, passed away last Jan. 12, 2023, in Los Angeles, California, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
