The 2023 Grammy Awards was the third live face-to-face show since the coronavirus pandemic plagued the world in 2020.
Since then, The Recording Academy has faced dwindling viewership in television, which led them to reassess and strategize on plans to get more viewers every year.
According to Variety, the 2023 Grammy Awards was a success compared to the two previous shows in 2021 and 2022. The live telecast has amassed more than 12.4 million total viewers, based on Nielsen's national ratings.
The 2023 Grammy Awards jumped 30% more viewers compared to last year, which only racked up 9.6 million viewers.
It is now the highest since 2021, which only got 8.8 million viewers, a record-low for The Grammys since it started airing in 1977.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Grammy Awards ratings were still low compared to the 2020 show hosted by Alicia Keys, which recorded 18.70 million total viewers.
The 2023 Grammy Awards online presence, on the other hand, logged 66 billion potential impressions, according to the publication. CBS claimed that the show is now the #1 Social Entertainment event of the year.
The show was also aired via Paramount+, and other CBS platforms, which resulted in more than 53 million social video clips of the show has now been circulating on social media.

The 2023 Grammy Awards packs the most ambitious roster of artists yet in the past few years. Big hitters like Adele, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and SZA attended the show.
Bad Bunny opened the show with a bombastic Latino music opening number. Sam Smith and Kim Petras, who took home the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Unholy," sizzled the stage with their racy performance.
An In Memoriam tribute segment also honored the artists who have passed away in the past year, including Naomi Judd, Olivia Newton-John, Loretta Lynn, David Crosby, Takeoff, Christine McVie, and Coolio, among many others.
The Grammys also celebrated the 50 Years of Hiphop genre with a star-studded performance from Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Salt, and Pepa, among many other stars.
Beyonce and Maverick City Music were the most awarded acts of the night - each taking home four gramophones. Beyonce also made history as the most nominated and most awarded artist in the GRAMMYs, with 32 total wins.
