In the weeks after Lisa Marie Presley's death, her mother, Priscilla, and daughter Riley Keough have become embroiled in a legal dispute concerning changes the deceased singer-songwriter had made to her will.

Appointing Riley and now-deceased son Benjamin as trustees of the Presley estate, Priscilla is challenging their entitlement.

Benjamin Keough, Elvis Presley's grandson and Lisa Marie Presley's son died on July 12, 2020. The official cause of death, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office, was ruled a suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

As their legal teams exchange terms back and forth, speculation on how much money Lisa Marie had left behind has been rife.

The Daily Mail reports that all $100 million of her inheritance is thought to have been spent.

This news came just weeks after Priscilla implored fans to "ignore the noise" about the ongoing situation between herself and Keough, leading to an estrangement between them.

Riley has had to come to grips with the complicated reality of her mother's passing and now must also face a legal dispute concerning trust issues with her grandmother.

An inside source said Priscilla is unwavering in her belief that she should receive a favorable ruling from the court contesting this matter.

The two family members have been communicating only through their respective lawyers, and Riley would like this situation to be handled privately rather than through the public court system.

They added that the Hollywood actress feels overwhelmed by all of this and finds it heartbreaking that it has become such a public issue, something she knows her late mother would not want.

However, despite the stress and difficulty of the situation, they stated that Riley Keough is trying to remain optimistic about everything.

Meanwhile, Priscilla claims that her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley's, signatures on the will were forged, which resulted in Priscilla being written out of it. Many fans have speculated that her aim to control the estate is motivated by money.

However, an insider has suggested that Priscilla is genuinely convinced of the forgery.

Friends of Lisa have recently mentioned how she and Priscilla had been estranged for several years prior to her death. According to Page Six, one close friend remarked, "Lisa didn't want to have anything to do with her mom. They only talked when there was no option."

The unnamed pal also said that Lisa Marie would not be impressed with Priscilla's current attempts at controlling the estate.
