How much is Selena Gomez's net worth now that she is the most followed woman on Instagram?

Billboard confirmed Gomez's milestone Thursday. The report said the singer-actress officially dethroned Kylie Jenner and scored as the most followed woman on Instagram title by having a total of 382 million followers.

In comparison, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" album has 380 million followers.

Gomez's number of followers, however, does not make her the most followed person. As of press time, soccer superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the most followed people on the platform, with 551 million and 432 million followers, respectively.

Although Instagram now highlights how powerful and influential she is, the "Lose You To Love Me" hitmaker once took a break from her social media due to her "unhealthy" relationship with the platform.

"At one point Instagram became my whole world, and it was really dangerous," she told InStyle. "In my early 20s, I felt like I wasn't pretty enough. There was a whole period in my life when I thought I needed makeup and never wanted to be seen without it."

At that time, Gomez said taking a break was the best decision she made for her mental health. It also allowed her to develop a better relationship with herself.
