Madonna may be embarking on a world tour, but supporters were hoping to see a film about her life first.

Nevertheless, the latter was canceled owing to a variety of factors, including the "Vogue" hitmaker's odd recent social media behavior.

What Happened To Madonna's Biopic?

Universal Studios continued to cancel Madonna's biographical film, leaving her high and dry.

They canceled the entire project last month. The movie was meant to be directed and co-written by the pop icon.

She was also chastised for her "plastic face" appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards event, with fans alleging she seemed unusually puffy as a result of her claimed plastic surgery.

The scrapped biography cost Universal Pictures $12 million, and it came just as Madonna announced she would go on a global tour.

Yet, it is said that the decision was taken before.

Madonna's Next Big Project

According to The Sun, Madonna intends to strike back against Universal Studios by creating a documentary on her impending 2023 global tour.

This is claimed to be a parody of Michael Jordan's famous show "The Last Dance," but using video from her "Celebration Tour."

A source said the "Like A Virgin" singer intends to record and video extensively while on tour in order to use the footage in future projects.

She has already produced a documentary, most notably her 1991 "Truth or Dare" effort.

"But it's a gigantic endeavor that would include gobs of expensive research and legal clearances of old material that Madonna doesn't own, as well as the need to coax dozens of talking heads from Madonna's past to appear on camera and say great things about her," they said.

"It's a large job, and if Madonna funds anything like that on her own, it certainly cuts into tour income," the insider noted.

"For the time being, the only thing approved for the tour is to record the huge hit performances as nicely as possible."

Nonetheless, Madonna is reported to be plotting her vengeance because she still has a "infinite amount of finances" to complete her huge vision of her "Celebration Tour."

She also wants to prove something following the "apparent black eye she received" during the Grammy Awards event.
